From the Board President

Bill Graves, our new board president has hit the ground running! Previously active on the board, Bill is now applying his leadership skill as well as his compassion for the mission of Salvus to keep us moving in the right direction. Among many things he plans to achieve, he is starting with an emphasis on fundraising. We, as most non-profits, have experienced a decline in individual giving. He appreciates what we have done but challenges us to continue the support for "the wonderful work of Salvus". His charge to the board was...

"This year is getting off to a great start. Our development activities are beginning to pay off, as major grants are being renewed, donors and sponsors are recommitting, and some have increased their giving. Kevin Gregory our development chairman has been organizing luncheons with top givers and prospects to spread the good news about SALVUS. Shelley Ames has been working on our gala, calling on sponsors, setting up meetings, and sharing ideas with other non-profit organizations. In other words we are putting in the necessary work to improve SALVUS' revenues this year and into the future."
